I especially enjoyed the presentations of Danny Venlet, FOAM , Sanjeev Shankar. HomeLab from Olu Vandenbussche, a former student of Sint Lucas Ghent, is certainly worth mentioning. Although I didn’t quite like her presentation. She scrambled as much as possible in her 400sec. making it sound like a machine gun.

But the presentation that really hit me was given by Luc Hoebeke with drawings from his daughter Nirmala Isabelle Hoebeke. Following is an excerpt I wanted to share with you.
[...] Empirical data and statistics are taking over the truth of our intimate experience. Intimate knowledge leading to true action is the fruit of a careful reflection upon how we relate to ourselves, to others and to the world we live in.
The source of true knowledge lies in hospitality. What is inside us and outside us is welcome to be consciously experienced.
Possessing shares replaces sharing possessions. [...] The experience of beauty is the only possession worthwhile to acquire, and we enjoy it by sharing it with others.
The freedom to create, the discipline to experience truth and the beauty to share requires hands, voice and brains working together. If we we could once again learn to connect the virtual with the reality, maybe we may learn to really experience the value of the virtual.
